Call it impossible or a one in a million-- 27th day of September 2009 great floods approached the Philippines. Ondoy, deemed signal number 2, devoured Rizal and Marikina in just hours. Ranging from Montalban up to Taytay--in the province of Rizal(as far as my knowledge tells me) the heavy rains poured and ate up parts of the Province.
"It is the first time! None in my years here at our province, have i experienced such cataclysm" a woman said.
Indeed it is such a cataclysmic event. Montalban,…

september 26, 2009, i woke up at around 11am, i did my morning routine, i ate my brunch (breakfast-lunch) without any worries that a flood or disaster may come because of the heavy rain. after 30 mins, my dad started on saying, prepare yourself, the muddy flood is here! so rapidly, i hurried in our kitchen which is downstairs in our house(kris, joshua, raf, jei, sir cha knows the structure of my house); anyway, while…

“Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift that’s why it is called present.” That’s a phrase or quotation that we are usually heard. But, is it true now? It is true that yesterday is a history and tomorrow is a mystery but how about today? Is it really a gift for us to have a better mystery in the future?
We encounter the lashing with a whip of "Bagyong Ondoy" last September 26, 2009 and I hope that this will be a lesson to us to care for our environment because I know t…

Some part of our dearest country is now experiencing great Natural Calamities. While watching the news, posting the companies and the orgs that are extending their sympathies to the victims, I have seen and somewhat felt that there's something missing and something that has to be done. Brothers in Scouting, let us pray for our fellowmen who are now in peace. Even in this simple way we can show our deepest condolences to them. Just reminding that there isn't a point in the scout law that states a…
